The deposit covers the period of activity of three trade unions. Records from the London Ladies Tailors, Machinists and Pressers Trade Union are dated 1913 - 1919. This union was then absorbed into the United Ladies Tailors Trade Union. In 1939 the ULTTU amalgamated with the National Union of Tailors and Garment Workers, and the records here are from the London Mantle and Costume Branch.

 

The deposit includes minutes of meetings, some financial and membership records, files of correspondence and various reports.
