The C.O.S. took over the administration of the British War Refugees Fund in January 1942 having previously acted as almoners for the fund. The Administrative Committee set up the British War Refugees Sub-Committee to deal with this work. In November 1946 it amalgamated with the Polish Relief Sub-Committee to form the Joint Refugee Sub-Committee. |
