In February 1909 a permanent conference was established of persons interested in the mutual registration of assistance given to cases by charitable organisations and the Boards of Guardians. The Central Registration Office was at Denison House. District Committees of the COS established district registries. In August 1915 the Registration Sub-Committee of the COS was formed.
