Title: NATIONAL COUNCIL OF FAMILY CASE-WORK AGENCIES
Held by: London Metropolitan Archives: City of London, not available at The National Archives
Language: English
Administrative / biographical background:

In February 1946 the Provisional National Council of the Family Welfare Association was formed. In October 1948 this became a separate organisation, the National Council of Family Case-Work Agencies, though the administrative work of the Council was carried out by the FWA. The Council was wound up in May 1961 because the FWA was unable to continue to provide a secretariat. It was also felt that some of the objects of the Council coincided with those of the Association of General and Family Case-Workers.
