Premises: manor and rectory of Teddington [as in ACC/1246/036]; manor and lands at Spowston, Norfolk; estates at Esher, Thames Ditton, Kingston-upon-Thames and Stockwell, Surrey, and Hornchurch, Essex, and Great St. Helen's, London [detailed descriptions given].

 

All premises conveyed to (3) in trust, as to one moiety, to use of (1) in trusts for Ann Barton and heirs with cross remainders to sister Maria and family, as to other moiety to use of (1) in trust for Maria Woodrouffe Smith and heirs with similar cross remainders.

 

Recitals include: will of Thomas Woodrouffe Smith made August 1807 as concerned real estate, proved May and October 1811, bequeathing premises to (1) in trust for daughter with directions for settlement to be made; subsequent Chancery suit establishing nature of settlement and interpreting will.

 

Endorsements: assignments and releases of trust, June 1840 by John Barton and other trustees under above settlement to George Head Head of Rickerby House, Carlisle, Cumberland, esq., (member of Society of Friends and husband of Maria Woodrouffe Smith).
