Description:

--As some dispute has arisen in relation to the arrangement made with Sir John Norris, they desire to inform his Lordship that they have expressly made a condition that there shall remain in this country three thousand foot, divided into twenty companies, and four hundred horse, in four troops, of her Majesty's forces, in addition to the garrisons; of which, two thousand foot and two troops of horse are to keep garrison at Bergen-op-Zoom; a thousand foot to be at Ostend, and the other two troops of horse upon the frontiers, where ever they may be required.

 

His Lordship is particularly requested to see that this number of troops remain in the country, and are distributed as above. Signed: Heermale; C. Aerssens. Seal.
