Draft letter of FFT, Bosworth Hall to Rev. James Platt, Bishop Thornton, Yorks.

 

Saying that he did not realise the impecunious state of his cousin [Mary Tunstall] and thanking Mr. Platt for looking after her. He discusses her marriage settlement and charges made on the Preston [upon Skerne] estate for her maintenance. Mrs. Tunstall's son's family are also in a distressed condition and Mr. Platt has paid for their education.
