Description:

Thomas Tunstall, Dole Bank, nr. Ripon, Yorks, to FFT, Bosworth Hall

His attempts at finding employment have been unsuccessful, and he is ready to accept a position as humiliating as that of house steward. He finds his mother and daughters a great worry and asks FFT's help in the education of his 2 eldest daughters (aged 11 and 9 yrs.) one of whom went to school at Scorton but he can no longer afford their fees. His mother's mind is even more abstracted although she is in good bodily health. His son (13 yrs. old) is always at the head of his school at Ushaw and is highly thought of.
