F. Turvile, Crook Hall, Gateshead, Durham to his father F. F. Turvile esq., Bosworth Hall Relating that he arrived the previous Friday, and that he has already seen some lead mines and the New College; there are now 50 boys in the school. With a postscript by his schoolmaster Thomas Eyre about finance and thanking F.F. Turvile for information about his son "to which I shall pay all due attention. The custom of pedagogues and pupils as at Douay is retained here". |
