Description:

Arthur Story, Tudhoe Academy Durham to FFT, Bosworth

Does not wish William to go home as this will interrupt his studies. He is not very quick at apprehension but gives pleasure by his good conduct and attention to religious duties. Is in no hurry to unite the academy with Ushaw college which he describes as having very good teachers under the leadership of Mr. Eyre. They give a general education to clergy and laity.

Endorsed with letter from William Turvile to his father. He finds Latin grammar rather difficult to understand "but Mr. Story says time and application make all things easy".
