Pleased to hear that his mother was well enough to get downstairs. Has had the "Observer" newspaper sent to him which he finds "comfortable and amusing". Has been reading Shakespeare with the aid of Johnson's dictionary. Surprised that Charles Talbot only raised 4 men at Bosworth.
