Description:

Mary N. de Front, [nee Fletewood], London, to FFT, Cheltenham

Thanks him and Mrs. Turvile for their good wishes for hers and the Count's happiness together. She realises that people have said "what a pity that Lady Fletewood should marry a foreigner". Defends her husband as he has been in England and in public life for 16 years. All her money is to be her own so he did not marry for her fortune. Lost most of his property in the Revolution but has settled £400 p. a. on her. Would have let him know this before she married but for Mrs. Turvile's illness. Asked Louisa [Turvile] to dine with her but she was out.
