Financial matters. Wished he had made a balloon and flown from Lyons to London. The cost would have been £600 and the return £10,000. Knows Lunardi whom he describes as "lucky" and a "common cook". Both his and Blanchard's balloons on exhibit in London. One Sadler, a pastry cook from Oxford also has a balloon and is racing Blanchard across the Channel. Frost so bad that skaters were on St. James' Park Lake.
