Has had gout and so has not been able to write sooner. Includes extracts from two letters he has received from Mrs. Talbot. Maria and Mr. Wheble are to be married. She has bought all the clothes necessary and Wheble has purchased £500 - £600 of pearl and diamond ornaments for her plus the same amount in plate. Elizabeth, Maria's sister will be sad at losing her, but now likes Mr. Wheble.
