A reply from Mr. Howard to her letter has been forwarded to Mr. Fortescue her son [in law]. Mr. Berryman urges her to be generous to her grandchildren and reconciled with them allowing for the fact that their youth may make them speak without reflection. They are also all that remains of her daughter. Says that her grandson "will have a fair estate" but that the young must be protected from speculators who ruin families.
