Chas. Browne Mostyn, Gloucester, to FFT, Bosworth

Wondering if FFT. intended to winter in Bath, and commenting on the French situation "the present prevailing Faction seems rather less intollerant than their Predecessors. Some think we shall now at last have Peace, but I own I am afraid no good is to be expected from Buonaparte Syeyes & camp. What a lucky adventurer this Buonaparte has been! Some think he will finish by being King himself & quote Voltaires oppinion "Le premier qui fut Roi fut un soldat heureux'."
