Description:

C. Browne Mostyn, Bristol to FFT, Bosworth

Had intended to go to Winchester, but heard that it was expensive, cold in winter and dull. Counties near the coast are crowded with troops and military bustle. Likes Bristol as it is out of the "beau monde" and he cannot afford to indulge in the beau monde. They have a pleasant house in the country, though only 5 mins. walk from the centre of town. Hopes preparations on the coast will discourage the French from invading. Charles Gore to be married.
