Writes on behalf of his aunt who is too weak. Pleased to hear of the birth of his son. She has engaged Madame Leviez as her companion, but they are determined to prolong their stay until another order from Chosel. His aunt obtained an advance on his note from an English lady. He is not to worry about the money she receives from his aunt, for whom she has the greatest attachment. Affairs in France very unsettled the greater part of the southern provinces are on fire divided between the cause of the National Assembly and the executive---Religion used as a pretext for what is only a political force. Terrible sights each day make them wish they lived on the banks of the Thames.
