Catalogue description Lady Southampton's Chapel

Papers of Lady Southampton's endowed chapels and schools at Kenchester and Breinton: comprising muniments of title to the various charity properties of the foundation deeds, declarations of trusts and papers relating to administration of the charity. These administrative papers arise chiefly from the supervision of the Foundation by the Charity Commissioners, and the transfer of the charity's educational endowments to the authority of the board of education. They also deal with the Local Dispute when the Non-conformist status of the chapel was challenged.
