Crime committed between 8 am and 9 am 26 January 1833 52/B/80 1 February 1833 Emanuel Eastmeade of Acton Turville, labourer Using a wire to kill a hare on land occupied by Betty Marsh of Acton Turville F Trotman, JP, W Blathwayt, JP and R H B Hale, JP at a Petty Sessions held at the Cross Hands Inn, Old Sodbury. Thomas Webb, gamekeeper to the Duke of Beaufort, informed Arthur Shakespear, JP who issued summons which was read to accused by William Light, constable of Great Badminton. Labourer William Watts gave evidence that he saw accused remove a hare and wire. Accused did not appear.
