Basildon, North Benfleet, Bowers Gifford, Great Burstead, Little Burstead, Downham, Dunton, Laindon, Lee Chapel, Nevendon, Pitsea, Ramsden Crays, Vange and Wickford. On 1st January 1947 the Billericay Petty Sessional Division was created under an Order of the Essex Court of Quarter Sessions. According to the Order the new division of Billericay was to include the parish of Billericay and those parts of the parishes of South Hanningfield and Runwell previously within the Brentwood Division [see Q/SO 66 pp. 134, 156, 159]. For a history of these divisions see A History of the Brentwood and Billericay Justices and their Courts, 1321-1982 , Owen [copy in E.R.O. Library]
