Administrative / biographical background:

Beaufort School was established as a result of the amalgamation in September 1963 of Stourfield and Boscombe County Secondary Schools. Both sets of premises continued to be used. The school closed in July 1987 and the remaining pupils and staff transferred to Summerbee School.
