R H Worth (1868-1950), the son of R N Worth, the historian, of Plymouth. His interests were chiefly concerned with Dartmoor about which he wrote the standard history published in 1953. By profession he was a consultant engineer and was concerned with many of the water schemes of Devon and Cornwall. R H Worth was also a prominent member of the "Devonshire Association", being one of the joint honorary secretaries from 1921-1926, and a vice president in 1931
