Henry Williams and Charles Oatey both received twelve months' hard labour in Bodmin gaol.

Richard Downing of Paul, lab., convicted for stealing apples from Ann Pentreath's orchard in Paul, later stole 20 apples value 2d., from Sampson Hosking's orchard in St. Buryan and was found guilty: one month's hard labour in Bodmin gaol and two severe whippings.

Appeal by St. Germans against order of 20 Aug. last for removal of William Littlejohns and his children Richard (15), Elizabeth (13) and Jane (8) from Antony. By an indenture dated 6 Jan. 1801 William Littlejohns was bound as apprentice to George Couch of St. Germans, carpenter, for 7 years, for consideration of £4 premium, under usual covenants from George Couch and father of William Littlejohns. Indenture was stamped with a 7s. 6d. stamp dated 1797, and another 5s. stamp undated, and also another stamp. No registry enrolment or receipt was endorsed. Proof of William Littlejohn's service and residence in St. Germans had been tendered but St. Germans contended that indenture was void because it lacked a "proper stamp" in respect of premium paid to George Couch: order reversed. Antony to pay St. Germans £14 costs and maintenance.
