Appeal of James Richards, occupier of the great tithes of Breage, against rate made by Breage on 13 Apr. 1794: rate quashed for insufficiency; Breage to pay appellant £1 6s. 8d. costs.

William Warren, master, and Jacob Hook, mate, of the brig Mary, swore that, on 14 March 1794, they shipped at Bristol 24 tons of white salt for William Bastian of Truro, George Soper of St Austell, Joseph Carne of Truro and Jasper Richards of Truro; on the voyage to Falmouth and Truro, stormy and tempestuous weather destroyed 1 ton 14 hundreds 1 quarter and 26 lbs. of salt, the loss not due to any neglect by the crew or defect in the vessel.

 

Appeal of Thomas Woodis against rate made on 7 Mar. 1794 by Penzance: rate quashed for insufficiency; Penzance to pay appellant £1 6s. 8d. costs.

 

Trevemper, Resprin, Godolphin and Berryas Bridges to be put into good order by the Surveyor of Bridges (west); and Tideford, Tavistock New Bridge and Kenney Water Bridges likewise by the Surveyor of Bridges (east).
