- Catshole ten., St. Breward, occ. formerly by Mr. Daniel Venning. (Usual reservations - mines, minerals and quarries. Taker to pay £5 deposit to be repaid when counterpart signed. Taker to repair and pay all outgoings except property tax. Lime dressing for land tilled, then 3 successive crops, last one with grass seeds.

Written in pencil 5 June 1813. Wm. Lord book for 3 lives or 99 yrs. for £140. Rent 4s. Heriot 10s. on each life. To make outer fence to confine bullocks etc. 'John Lean taker of the premises for £210.'

 

Envelope round papers: 'Thos. Lean the last life died at Pendrea, Blisland, 15 April 1895 aged about 85.'
