The Chester Diocesan Gazette, the monthly newsletter of the diocese, was first issued in 1886. Vols 1-25, 1886-1910, are available in Chester Archaeological Society Library in Chester City Record Office. The Gazette was succeeded in 1936 by the Chester Diocesan leaflet and in 1973 by the Diocesan News.
