The Knutsford Savings Bank was formed at a meeting held at the Nether Knutsford Court Room on 10 Jan 1818. It was originally for the benefit of Mobberley, Marthall, Over Peover, Nether Peover, Plumley, Nether Tabley, Over Tabley, Mere, Millington, High Leigh, Rostherne and Tatton. It amalgamated with the Chester, Wrexham and District Savings Bank in 1942 and subsequently became part of the Trustee Savings Bank
