The records mainly comprise those of the Cambridge and County Trades and Labour Council, called from 1918 the Cambridge Trades' Council and Labour Party and from 1951 the Cambridge City Labour Party. They include one volume and two papers, listed first, of the local branch of the socialist society, the Independent Labour Party.
