Reference: P/DVO 6
Title: 1910 'DOMESDAY BOOKS'
Description:

(DUTIES ON LAND VALUES)

The 'Domesday Books' form one of 3 series of records created under the provisions of the Finance Act, 1910. More properly called Duties on Land Values, the books are a record of valuations made by Board of Inland Revenue Valuation Offices. The volumes contain individual entries for each property providing information on owner, occupier, location, description and valuation. Until 1979 these records were kept at the Public Record Office, where they had been arranged in one alphabetical sequence. This catalogue follows that arrangement and no attempt has been made to reorganise the volumes by District Valuation Office.

Slough 'Domesday Books' are held at the Buckinghamshire Record Office, Aylesbury.
