The rural deanery of the Vale of White Horse was formed in 1860 from the rural deanery of Abingdon and consisted of the following parishes:

 

Ashbury, Balking with Woolstone, Buckland, Buscot, Coleshill, Compton Beauchamp, Great Coxwell, Eaton Hastings, Faringdon with Little Coxwell, Hatford, Hinton Waldrist, Littleworth, Longcot and Fernham, Longworth, Pusey, Shellingford, Shrivenham, Stanford in the Vale with Goosey and Uffington.

1860-1869: The Revd Christopher Wordsworth, vicar of Stanford in the Vale.

 

1869-1876: The Revd Joseph Moore, vicar of Buckland.
