[Celia May Newby (nee Edwards) was born in Reading in 1916, daughter of a biscuit mixer a Huntley & Palmer's factory. Celia was herself employed for many years at the biscuit factor as a laboratory assistant in the technical development branch, and married a chemist in the same department. Mrs Newby's papers relate mainly to Huntley & Palmer's and to her involvement with St Luke's Church, Reading, especially as a Guider.]
