Administrative / biographical background:

[Berkshire County Ladies Hockey Team was competing by 1907. It was in abeyance during and immediately after the First World War, restarting in 1922. It became known as Berkshire Women's Hockey Association by 1930.

 

The Association, to which individual clubs and schools were affiliated, organised county matches and internal club competitions, and helped with the development of junior players.

 

In 2000 it amalgamated with the Berkshire Hockey Association (for men's hockey).]
