Ploegsteert 28SW4: Edition 4B (Ypres Salient).

Just as the name of Wytschaete was corrupted so was Ploegsteert. As every Great War buff will know it comes down in history as Plugstreet. This map is on the scale of 1:10,000 and is corrected to April 1, 1917. Like our map 16 the British trench system is given in more than usual detail and the map covers an area, more or less from Messines to Ploegsteert to Warneton and Deulemont. Nearby is ‘Uncomfortable Crescent’.
