Bixschoote. 20 SW4: Edition 5A

This map covers the area to the east of the Yser canal, with Steenstraat prominent. It shows an incredible number of trenches and the flooded area around Langewaade. It is based on an Ordnance Survey sheet of July, 1917. The complex of trenches and barbed wire entanglements going up to the Yser canal is particularly interesting. Note the section of the line in squares 17, 23 and 29. Scale 1:10,000.
