Case and opinions:
Jn. Herring's will (as above) devised Petherwin, Creber's tenement and tithes in trust for

c) cousin Jn. Pine Herring (died unmarried)
d) cousin Rich. Hawke (eldest s. now living)
e) Edm. Herring of Saltash.
f) children of Wm. Herring decd.
Query: what is effect of devise to daus? No record of Leonard H.'s dau. ever having suffered recovery to bar entail; does this mean that on her death the estate goes to heirs of Rich Hawke?
Property is of considerable value but has been neglected to an extraordinary extent by those who have held it since Leonard Herring's dau. (18 yrs ago); nothing has been sold, as though good title could not be made.
2 opinions against (no further inheritance possible after death of Leonard H.'s dau.); one in favour of Rich. Hawke's claim
