"Camberley and Reading properties" [no ref. or date]
Archival history:
The papers appear to be those of Gerald and Arthur Marshall of London, solicitors.
Administrative history:
Some items also relate to property in Caversham.
The Benyon connection is unclear; the properties appear to have been bought by Isaac W. Dickinson of Bournemouth, Hants, and Upper Parkstone, Dorset, in 1908, and subsequently mortgaged to Lily Warren Beresford, former Duchess of Marlborough (d.1909), who received the rents. The entire property, apart from one house in Camberley, was sold at various dates between 1920 and 1926, to clear the Beresford interest, the remaining house being reconveyed to Mr Dickinson.
Contents:
Z40-61 were found together in a chest marked with the title given above.
The properties referred to are :
6,8,10, and 12, and Southcote Road West, Reading; Kohat, Ranfurly, and Holmwood, Upper Park Road, Camberley, Surrey; and Redstoke, Farran-a-Killa, Stoneycroft, Hopebank, 12, Dunedin, Alyn, Grindleford, Skirsgill, Lingborough, and Fairstowe, Upper Gordon Road, Camberley, Surrey.
