Solemn declaration of Isaac Hurst of Bedford, surgeon, as to the pedigree of John Budd and Frederic Budd as proof of title, declaring that:
- IH knew Francis John Rudd of Bedford, attorney and Ann Budd his wife from 1814 until their deaths;
- FJB died on 8 Apr 1831 and his only living children were John, Maria, Ann and Frederic, John being the eldest;
- all other children died whilst "of tender age";
- AB died on 16 Jul 1836;
- JB, a bachelor, left his mother's house in Bedford to live in London in Spring 1835 and IH had not seen him since and believed him to be dead;
- Frederic Budd was born on 9 Aug 1823, IH attending AB during her confinement.

- he was 82 years old ;
- he was well acquainted with Richard Lawton (otherwise Layton or Leighton) and Susannah his wife, formerly Susannah Sturgess, spinster and that they are the same people as Richard, son of John and Ann Leighton and Susannah, daughter of John and Elizabeth Sturgess in certificates of baptism shown at the time of making his declaration;
- he had known the messuage occupied by RL for the last 60 years and believed that RL had purchased it in 1851;
- he had no knowledge of RL or John Lawton his father ever paying quit or other rent or acknowledged the title of any one to the property taken from the wasteland.

(XXII) On 7 Jan 1853 Richard Kirkman Lane obtained another judgement in Queens Bench against Philip Booth for debt £200 and £3/10/- costs and left a memorandum with Court of Common Pleas claiming to be paid £200 and £3/10/-.
(XXIII) Default was made in payments to Samuel Walker of the mortgage in (XIII) above.
(XXIV) Default was made in payments to Samuel Walker of the mortgage in (XIV) above.
